So now onto my excuses… 😉
I’ve also been much busier with work lately. I’ve known and loved both families I’m working for for over 2 years now, but I’m working now more than ever both of them. It’s just been a bit of an adjustment, on top of some unfortunate (and also some amazing) circumstances falling on one of the families. They needed a little extra help the past few weeks and I was happy to be there. I mean I’m not a completely selfless little bird, they did pay me. 🙂 But still. I felt like I was able to swoop in and
save the day be there for them when they needed. I like being someone’s “person.” Is that weird?
So anyways, there just aren’t enough hours in a day sometimes and poor ITSF was left here for the month of February all by it’s lonesome. Things are getting back to normal and I’m finding a natural rhythm so I can make more room for things that have been ignored lately. Like the blog! Oh, and laundry, and cleaning, and that oil change and tune up, and that dentist appointment, and…
I did manage to share a couple photos while I was away, so here’s a life update according to Instagram. 🙂 Enjoy!
So to sum things up…I played with play dough & chalk, ate ice cream & drank coffee, took some photos with my friends at RBofMcD & McMarden, and got a brow wax. Riveting, I know.
Not pictured: the look of defeat that can only be understood after being called a ” pissy blue head” for the quadrillionth time in one day by a 3 year old. (What does it mean?! What does it even mean?!) The bits of play dough that dry out and become tiny daggers that hide in the rug ready to strike but only once you’re barefoot. The red glow of brake lights that start to maybe look pretty except it’s been an hour and I’ve gone one mile.
Also not pictured: the sweet snuggles & genuine innocence & goldfish crackers & belly laughs & million other things that make working with kids actually amazing and what the heck was I even talking about before? Oh right, the dried play dough. That shit’s dangerous.
